As well as educational institutions, our schools were forced to a large extent to online teaching due to the arrival of the pandemic. Today we are in a situation where educators can teach their subject online, in the form of distance learning, using online platforms.

In order to provide quality online education, it is necessary to ensure:

  • Prepared and experienced teachers.

  • Correct and effective digital tools.

  • Content-quality, beneficial situations.

  • Distance testing of students.

  • Improvement of technical and digital skills of educators.

Cooperation with the Norwegian partner will bring us more freedom in the online space, expansion of practical experience and know-how in the field of digital technologies, best practices in working with digital tools.

The project Interactive digital tools in practical vocational education benefits from a € 167 857  grant from Norway through the Norway Grants. The project has been co-financed from the State Budget of the Slovak Republic in the amount of € 29 621. The aim of the project is to:

  • to improve didactic skills of teachers and lecturers of vocational practical training by using digital technology, 

  • expand network of partners of both schools and develop international cooperation, 

  • to transfer teaching experience and innovative methods from Norway to Slovakia, 

  • to build capacity for sustainable use of innovative digital skills at both schools by trainings,

  • creating feed-back loops and introduction of newest technological equipment at both schools.

Results of the project will be: 

  • New didactic materials, which the teachers develop in accordance with new methods of education (Tutorials). 

  • All participating teachers will be able to use new digital tools. Every teacher during the project will do the pilot classes based on the trainings. 

  • Theoretical orientation and practical implementation of digital technologies in selected vocational courses. 

  • Integration of interactive digital noticeboards in teaching of practical vocational subjects. 

  • Greater student engagement, participation and better learning outcomes. 

  • Better digital competency and learning effectiveness. 

  • Utilization of new methods and tools in planning, executing, documenting and assessing practical sessions.

  • Live streaming of practical demonstrative sessions. 

  • Modernized hardware equipment.
